Hello Michael, have been slouching in a corner in this rather quiet wee pub, minding me own business likes and brooding a bit, ken, and in comes you - and the sun shines again within as well as without! Good to see ye again man! What have ye been up to? Lots of manifesting I am sure.
What happened to yer owl? Call yerself a pirate and ye lose yer bird?! ;o) Have a beer!

aye captain, seems I joined the banned

the world is expanding too. A friend of mind often said, "There's too many people in the world." I dunno, maybe. Is this an issue? Too many people? Over-population? A lot of members to connect into the new para-can-you-dig-em harmonic inflow matrix Organisational Structure.

Okay, introduction. I am here, on Earth, North America, Canada, British Columbia, Vancouver Island, correction small island off of Vancouver Island. I am here. Now. In this moment. Gone. Time. No time. Typing. Words. Why not?!? Okay, who. Who am I? I am me. I am. Being.

What are my interests? Water. Nutritious food. Shelter. Stop, starting to sound like that Maxglo dude. Power! Just hooked up some solar panels, and I tell you the sun is really cranking out. The bank is not interested in you, the bank is only interested in feeding the greedy shareholders of the private bank. But, this bank (of solar panels) is open! There are up to 54 Watts of Power available when the sun is shining at full power. [actually 1000W per square meter, but these solar panels are not that efficient] Free energy. Okay, enough about me, let's talk about ... me! ;)

I've been weary on me travels Kara, and I've come back to the tavern for a stay. While I've been away, I've done a lot and seen a lot.

I'm finally grounding myself into being a filmmaker. I feel ready. I've made my first feature, which has been traveling the world and winning awards at festivals, including Audience Favorite at the Cambridge International Film Festival. The film was a mockumentary about a rock paper scissors athlete and his quest for glory at the World RPS Championships held in Toronto each year. I'm also working more with music--playing and filming. I'm filming Deerhoof, a SF Indie Jazz/ Rock extravaganza, on Wed, and possibly Justice the week after that...and am more confident at how to blend my own music with film or video. It's neat stuff...combining visual communication with aural communication.

I've returned to school to finish my Film Production degree. It's going well, but I'm tired. Have been a bit cranky and hermit-like while getting through school. I'd forgotten how intensive it is. My thesis film is a short exploration of taoism in the west, shot and edited to look like a graphic novel. I'm going to shoot tai chi form on high-contrast 16mm black and white film, and the natural effect of shooting this way will look like a moving graphic novel. My room mate is an illustration student from Korea, who illustrates in traditional chinese style, so she and I are going to bring the world alive around the tai chi forms.

And lastly, I'm applying for my MFA in Film Production at UBC in Vancouver and for my MFA in Documentary Media from Ryerson, where I'm studying now. I've been developing a travel show and will make the pilot as a part of my MFA thesis, and them move onto a Ph.D in anthropology or ethnographic film, and complete the travel show for my doctorate. I think it's important to be 'student' while dealing with the secular world. My work can then be funded by foundations or schools themselves while I travel the world, with a point, of course, and film it.

I am so glad you're well. I'm well too.
